Bob donates 50 works to this brand new building
We are very pleased to announce that the new Information Commons building at the University of Sheffield is to become the home for a large number of Bob Brighton's works.
Following a successful meeting in Sheffield on the 17th April, the Univeristy administrators have agreed to give the artist all six floors of the building in which to display his paintings.
Bob is absolutely delighted and is now sorting out appropriate pieces. He anticipates donating around 40 to 50 works which will include 3 large paintings destined for the building's spectacular atrium.
The Information Commons opened in April 2007 and is exactly the kind of public space that Bob would like his work to be seen in. It contains a whole range of study experiences and according to Sheffield University's website was "Born out of completely fresh thinking about learning resources for the 21st century student".
